The organizers of Facets approached us to create a branding concept for their upcoming event.
We knew immediately that we wanted to create a branding concept that would capture the essence of Botswana and the beauty of diamonds. We discovered that the original colors of the Botswana flag were blue, black and white. We decided to incorporate these colors into the corporate identity as a tribute to the host country.
For the logo, we knew we wanted to create an abstraction of a diamond that would be instantly recognizable. We experimented with different shapes and designs before finally arriving at a clean, modern design that reflects the brilliance and sparkle of a diamond.
The use of negative space in the logo adds a level of sophistication and elegance, while the colors blue, black and white perfectly match the colors of the Botswana flag.
